My name is Balkar Thind. I am an Indian man of Sikh Origin. I am a qualified, experienced bilingual counsellor working in Chislehurst in Kent.
I speak fluent Punjabi and fairly fluent Hindi. I have nine years of experience in the field of mental health and 12 years experience in the field of loss and bereavement.
I gained my Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from Mid Kent College in 2003 and my core training was based upon the Rogerian person centred approach to counselling working with clients in the present moment.
In accordance with the guidelines set out by BACP, all my work is continually supervised and I am committed to my own continuing professional development.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes long usually at weekly intervals. The number of sessions needed can be discussed with the client. I look forward to working with you.
