Training, Qualifications & Experience
Jackie Meht
I trained at Sherwood Institute and am a UKCP accredited Humanistic Person-Centred Psychotherapist. I have worked for Nottingham Rape Crisis Centre for 4 Years as a Supervisor & Therapist and find this very rewarding to see clients leave empowering themselves.
The most important aspect of any therapy is the client and therapist's relationship. I will work with you in an open, equal and trusting relationship, providing a confidential and safe place to explore your issues. This enables you to express yourself freely, at your own pace and to ask any questions, or raise any concerns you may have as we work together.

Dealing with Long-term illnesses can affect all parts of ones life and therefore it may become difficult to adapt to a different way of living. My aim here as a counsellor is allow the client to find a better way of living with long-term illnesses which allows them to feel satisfied and peaceful and not feeling controlled by illness. I also feel that It becomes difficult for partners and close ones who support the survivor of any type of abuse or illness and therefore I offer counselling to people who may need strategies of dealing with the effects that can be caused through transference.
