About me

My approach is person centred with holistic view of Humanistic Counselling and Gestalt Psychotherapy. My focus is to provide a safe environment for you to be able to confide without fear or judgement and protecting your confidentiality and privacy. I have experience of working with individuals and couples on exploring emotional challenges including:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • relationship issues
  • loss/bereavement
  • fertility problems
  • dysfunctional family difficulties
  • personality disorders

Counselling and Psychotherapy provide a framework that gives you opportunity to explore about yourself in a professional and confidential relationship. I offer you time and space to reflect on how you are and how you would like to respond what life throws at you, focusing on your needs according to where you are on your personal journey. If you are interested in exploring, we may discuss what you would like to achieve and how I may support you

Training, qualifications & experience

I have performed a variety of roles as both a professional and a volunteer that have given me opportunities to gain experience of managing, developing and supporting people for over 15 years.

I have an UKCP Accredited Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy, an Accredited BACP Diploma in Gestalt Counselling and qualification in Humanistic Counselling.  I adhere to the high standards and ethical framework.

I have further training on personality disorders that have helped to develop my capacity to support other people in gaining insight to be able to help themselves.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
