About me

Hello and Welcome

I am a professional accredited counsellor, qualified to help and support you with your issues. I work at Newcastle City Centre, Heaton, Jesmond, Gosforth.

Feel free to contact me on 07954 135457 to discuss your needs.

I have 5 years experience working as a Psychotherapeutic counsellor within an NHS Primary Care and Mind Charity setting. I have worked with a variety of people with different issues which include anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, bullying, sexual & physical abuse, relationship issues, panic & anxiety, grief & loss, paranoia, phobia, loneliness, isolation, self- harm and suicidal ideation. You can see other issues I work with below.

I would like to help you surmount your barriers to a better life. As your Counsellor, I will create a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to help you to start your therapeutic journey where you can share your story. We will work together to achieve your goals. I see you as a unique individual with the creativity, wisdom, strength, and ability to grow.

I am a warm, open, empathetic and compassionate. Through the therapeutic process, we can build a trusting relationship so you can start to understand what is at the core of your issues. I will listen to your narrative, your emotional pain and help you to understand and develop awareness and insights. We will work together to establish your needs and find a rhythm that is right for you.  I am enquiring and at times challenging but I also know when to be silent and when to listen.

I have an eclectic and integrative approach to counselling, which means, depending on your needs, I will use one or more of the following therapies: Narrative, Interpersonal, Solution-focused, Cognitive behavioural, Existential, Phenomenology, Trauma-informed, Mindfulness, Transactional Analysis and even Art therapy.

I believe the stronger the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client, the more likely the client will benefit from treatment. My goal is to provide an environment that offers the tools, support, and hope you need to rediscover the best parts of who you truly are.

I trained at The Northern Guild for Therapeutic and Counselling (an accredited provider) gaining a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am currently in my 5th year of training with them, shortly to gain a Diploma in Psychotherapy.

I can offer both short and long-term counselling for individuals/adults. I look forward to hearing from you as you take the first step towards making the changes you need in your life.

Thank You
