Keep Loving Me Wellness https://keeplovingme.com/

Keep Loving Me Wellness was founded on the belief that there is a natural alternative to harsh chemicals when caring for our wellbeing and mental health. Our innovative products harness the traditional healing powers of essential oils to create a range that fits into modern life. Combined with talking therapies, Keep Loving Me provides a natural path to improved wellbeing and mental health for people of all ages.

At Keep Loving Me, we believe in a holistic approach where essential oils play a complementary role to talking therapies. In particular, psychotherapy and hypnosis have been shown to reduce anxiety, alleviate depression, and renew motivation. Essential oils are powerful tools for supporting therapy as our sense of smell is connected to our limbic system, the part of the brain responsible for moderating moods and emotions. Whatever the nature of your ailment, there is an essential oil with properties that can support your chosen therapy.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is an umbrella term for methods used to help people change their behaviour and overcome issues in their lives.

There are several different approaches including cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal and other talking therapies. It can be conducted in groups or one-to-one and involves regular interaction between the client and the therapist.

Psychotherapy is scientifically proven to benefit a wide range of mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety and OCD.

As well as treating mental illness, psychotherapy can prevent depression in people reaching old age or struggling with long-term physical illness. It is also beneficial for people who have difficulty controlling their emotions.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a talking therapy in which a trained hypnotherapist guides patients into a trance like state. During hypnosis, the patient is fully relaxed yet able to think clearly and open to the suggestions of the hypnotherapist. Although no one is sure exactly how hypnotherapy works, it is suggested that hypnosis encourages your active mind to relax and allows you to tap into the potential of your unconscious mind.

An estimated 85% of people will respond to clinical hypnotherapy and it may even help those who have not responded to more conventional treatments.[1]

Hynotherapy has been reported to alleviate the symptoms of a wide range of medical issues from smoking, nail biting and bed wetting, to stress, phobias and emotional problems. Hypnosis has also demonstrated benefits for physical illnesses such as IBS, PMT and arthritic pains.

There has been success for hypnotherapy as a complementary treatment for cancer to help patients relax and cope with their treatment. Some reports have shown reduced blood pressure, stress, anxiety and pain in patients who have undergone hypnosis.[2]

Psychotherapy FAQs

Which psychotherapy is best for me? The type of psychotherapy recommended depends on the problems of the patient. Psychotherapists tend to specialise in particular theoretical approaches as well as focusing on specific issues, for example depression or childhood trauma.

What is the difference between psychotherapy and counselling? Psychotherapy focuses on working with clients for a long period of time and aims to address problems that have built up over a long period of time. Counselling is a shorter term process often for patients who are experiencing crises.

How long will the effects last? The effects of psychotherapy can last indefinitely or may need to be “topped up” with further treatment, depending on the needs of each patient. In general, the more long-term the issues the longer psychotherapy will take to have effect.

Hypnotherapy FAQs

What does hypnosis feel like? Hypnosis results in a trance-like state similar to a deep daydream or the relaxing feeling just before you fall asleep. Whilst your body and mind relax, you will be able to think clearly and consider the suggestions of the hypnotherapist.

Will I lose control during hypnosis? No, despite popular representations of hypnosis, you will remain in full control and consciousness during hypnotherapy. During the treatment, a hypnotherapist may suggest actions and thoughts you can adopt to help change your behaviour, but it is up to you whether you choose to accept these recommendations. If you decide to end the session you will be able to come out of the hypnotic state very quickly.

How long will the effects last? Whilst every patient will react slightly differently, hypnotherapy can have long lasting and often permanent positive benefits when performed by a trained and qualified hypnotherapist[3].
