About me

I`m specialised in relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I offer a space to reflect upon what is causing you discomfort. There is often a message in our feelings of anxiety, depression and panic that it is important that we listen to. Times of struggle and crisis can often also present opportunities to grow.
When we are considering getting help sometimes we are not sure of what troubles us, many people come to me not knowing what their problem is, that is OK. I have a natural ability to understand what lies beneath my clients` issues and we will get straight at the core of what is going on. I will help you to reflect and really clarify where you are now, identify the fears that keep you stuck and work towards what you want. You don`t have to do it alone.

Gestalt Psychotherapy is an holistic form of therapy that focuses on the individual experience in the present moment and tries to include the whole person (body, mind, feelings spirituality etc.) together with the context of the person's life. It is also an integrative method in itself and that allows me to rely upon techniques and theoretical underpinnings drawn from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), psychodynamic psychotherapy, neuroscience, mindfulness and existential psychotherapy.

I have developed a deep understanding of the complex issues that can cause problems in everyday life including:

  • depression
  • addiction
  • stress
  • sexuality challenges
  • self harm
  • suicidal thoughts
  • existential meaningless
  • spirituality longing
  • anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • relationship break-up
  • bereavement and loss
  • coping with abuse
  • cultural challenges
  • working through crisis and trauma.

In our work together I will focus on you as a unique individual shuttling between different plans, like body sensations, feelings, wishes, thoughts or whatever it is important for you in that particular moment.
Gestalt is also experiential and change often happens through the direct experience of something new, not just talking about things. The nature of the experiment depends on what you are currently experiencing. I ask you to actively explore yourself concentrating on aspects of your physical functioning and also dreams, fantasies, memories, images and thoughts until what seemed old and familiar becomes alive and vibrant again during the therapy hour and pushes you to your boundary, where growth happens and your perspective of yourself and the world around you shifts to a place where you are able to see new possibilities.

My interest in counselling and psychotherapy arises from my own life experience and challenges. I welcome all kind of clients, adults and adolescents, individuals and couples. I value diversity and believe that every person has her own unique journey that enables her to live life more fully.

I work primarily in English, but sessions can also be held in Italian.

I am interested in Existential Phenomenology and I feel at ease in discussing existential themes like freedom, choice, responsibility, meaning and death.
