I am a Humanistic Person-Centred Psychotherapist, offering Counselling and Psychotherapy on a long-term and short-term basis. I have a background in general Counselling and Psychotherapy, covering issues as diverse as relationships, anxiety and depression, anger management, bereavement, stress, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, coming to terms with life changing events and changing self-defeating outlooks.
What Can I Expect?
Counselling sessions are generally 50 minutes long and are usually scheduled to occur at the same time each week (although this can be varied to accommodate client needs). We would start by arranging an initial session. This gives you the opportunity of meeting me and for us both to decide if I am the right person to work with you. We would then either agree an open-ended arrangement, or a fixed term, goal focused, arrangement, according to your needs.
I believe that people have within them the power to grow and develop, and to resolve the issues they face. I feel that my role is to help to empower and facilitate that change and development.
