You may find it difficult to find the words to talk about your experiences and emotions.  Pictures, objects, dreams and visualisation often encourage a flow of dialogue to unlock memories or feelings from the past, and their connection with the present.

I use "talking therapy" to explore bereavement, loss and trauma. Counselling can help with relationship difficulties, anxiety or depression to understand and come to terms with the effects of ill-health. I offer counselling on a one to one basis or for couples.

I won't give you answers, but can help you find them.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

A Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a BSC Hons in Social Science. Member of BACP. Member of TAG (Trauma and Abuse Group).

Counselling older people coming to terms with ill-health or loss of a loved one, spiritual crisis, loss of meaning or depression.

Helpling couples with relationship difficulties.

Counsellor in pregnancy crisis, including loss through miscarriage, adoption, termination. Also difficulty in conception.

Counselling those who have survived childhood abuse and trauma and Women who have been raped or escaped from Human Trafficking.

Fees

My fees are £30 per hour for individuals, £45 for couples, reductions are available for those experiencing financial difficulty.

Further Information

There is a dedicated Counselling room above The Source Cafe where clients can come and explore their difficulties in a confidential setting, using a separate entrance to the main door of the cafe if required.

There is a toilet with disabled facility and a lift or stairs to the 1st floor.
