About me

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Its not really about me...its about you. You may have heard on the news and in the media Phrases like talking therapies, counselling, psychotherapist etc. I am a qualified, experienced .BACP registered therapist. ' This Register is approved by the Professional Standards authority for health and Social Care. Why choose me?

I will do my best to listen to what YOU want and need from Counselling.

This hour is YOUR time to explore in peaceful surroundings any issues that are bothering you.

I am successful, having worked with over 100 clients in the last 4 years.

Client issues have included Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Bereavement, Relationship issues, Low self-esteem, Affairs, Miscarriage, Anger Management, Abuse (Including sexual abuse), Significant difficulty with an important relationship...eg. Mother, Father, siblings, Children. Bullying, Workplace issues. Pressure caused by debt.

I have had a lot of Male clients 21-45 ( Suicide is the leading cause of death in this age group ) and am passionate as the Mother of sons in helping Men TALK about what bothers them. There are no Male only Counselling groups, whereas there are many Agencies that help Woman.

Of course I am more than happy to work with woman too. ( I just see wounded people Male and Female.)

I am over 50, which I think means I have been round the block a bit as in I have experienced some real pain and suffering in my life. That makes me more able to understand what YOU may be going through.

As part of the qualifying Process I too have had Counselling and yes indeed it was life changing.

I am Caring, approachable, non-judgemental, understanding and have a passion for what I/We will unearth and process in our sessions together.

Further information

.Taking that first step is difficult. At 23 years of age I was wary of being referred to a Counsellor by my G.P

It was my choice.......and for me the process was Life Changing. At various times in my life I have sought out Counselling.......Family members, Partners, friends sometimes find it difficult to see us struggling or we may put up a front in order to not worry them.

I offer an initial telephone or face to face consultation so you can decide whether I am the Kind of Person you would be happy to work with A nominal fee applies.
