Ann Pratten - On The Couch, Counselling and Psychotherapy
On the Couch is a private practice situated by Poets Walk in Clevedon where I provide a tranquil, confidential and welcoming environment so you can feel safe to talk.
At times life experiences can lead us to feel overwhelmed, my aim as an integrative therapist is to provide a professional approach that will enable you and I to explore your situation and find ways of improving it.
Therapy does not offer a miraculous cure but it does provide an opportunity to talk freely and to process your experience without judgement or worry of burdening a friend or relative. As your therapist I will focus on using counselling skills and techniques which I believe will help support our work together, this may include working creatively, writing, keeping a diary, or simply talking - it will be up to you.
Many of my clients tell me that being heard, cared for, challenged and supported has helped them to gain a deeper insight into their situation and themselves. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to find clarity about decisions and to be more accepting of yourself.
