I qualified as a counsellor in 2008, since then I have worked in a charitable organisation, at a bereavement service and most recently at a rape crisis organisation dealing with both historic and recent abuse. I feel it is a privilege to be alongside someone and support them in finding a way to live differently.
There are times in our lives when we can experience difficult thoughts or feelings that can be confusing or cause anxiety. I will provide the opportunity to talk without being directly involved, I will not give advice but will be supportive and listen whilst helping find a way to look at the issues, enabling you to face things from a stronger, less anxious perspective.
I will offer a non-judgemental, safe and confidential approach to the counselling relationship in a peaceful environment.
I work with adults on an open ended one to one basis within a range of issues from relationship problems, depression, anxiety, work related issues, loss and bereavement.
Sessions are offered on a weekly basis, the same time each week for fifty minutes. Open ended means that you can stay in counselling for a longer period of time, some people look at one issue and have a break or others stay longer, there is no right or wrong it is about what is right for you.
