About me

I am a registered and experienced dramatherapist, working with individuals, families and children. I qualified as a dramatherapist from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, London in 2008. Since then, I have worked with many families, adults and children. Specifically in the fields of family dynamics, relationship difficulties, transitions (to secondary school and university), bereavement, behavioural difficulties at school, exclusion, autism and other special needs, abuse, violence and looked-after children.

Whatever is troubling you, dramatherapy provides an effective way to get help. A gentle process of assessment will help to ascertain the underlying factors causing the difficulty, which we then address creatively, expressively, using, where appropriate drama and the arts. Being spontaneous and playful can help to free blockages and enable connections. I work with adults and children in groups, in 1:1 sessions or together as a family.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters Degree in Drama & Movement Therapy, from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, London (2008)

I am also qualified in Developmental Transformations (a form of therapeutic improvisational play), awarded from The Institute of Developmental Transformations in New York, US (2012)

I am the owner and director of The Drama Therapy Space - an organisation providing dramatherapy to schools and other educational and charitable organisations in and around London.

I have worked with individuals, families and children, as a dramatherapist for approx 10 years and have written publications and presented many workshops on my work. I have worked with Primary School, Secondary Schools, Pupil Referral Units, Bereavement Charities, Children with multiple and profound learning difficulties. I have also faciliated therapeutic weekends for bereaved families.

I have a deep interest in philosophy, psychoanalysis & art and how these things are realised in a therapeutic process.
