I am a CBT counsellor using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to treat people with anxiety disorders, depression and anger management as well as a range of other conditions for all of which CBT is the treatment of choice.
Training, qualifications & experience
I started my training in 2002 as a counsellor and came through the normal route of person-centred and then psychodynamic counselling, but I immediately became dissatisfied by the lack of an evidence base. I went to Goldsmiths, part of the University of London where I studied Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and I use these therapies for most of my work.
CBT concentrates on the links between our thoughts, our behaviours and our emotions and how they impact on us in the here and now; CBT tends to be brief and solution-focused.

I am experienced at working with anger, anxiety (social anxiety, worrying, generalized anxiety, health anxiety, agoraphobia, panic attacks, PTSD) and depression (chronic or cyclical), insomnia, procrastination.
I charge £60 a session (£70 before 9.00am or after 5.30pm).
