Creating lasting change through psychotherapy
As a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist my role is to support you to find and develop the inner resources necessary to live a secure and fulfilled life. I offer a supportive and empowering environment to encourage you to meet yourself and move forward.
The aim of psychotherapy is to help you cope better with the situations you face in your life now, and to give you an increased capacity to deal with future challenges. It is also to enable you to feel more hopeful about whatever you are facing, whether this is a personal, work or life challenge.
Over time psychotherapy will lead to you to know yourself in a new way. You will start to learn from your life in a way that will empower you. Focus will not only be on your thinking, but also your feelings and felt sense of what is happening to you. Gradually you will become more open and more sensitive to your intuition and your imagination, and you will develop a deeper capacity to be yourself.
I can assist you in a secure, confidential environment in my practice rooms in W2 (next to Paddington Basin) and NW10, both close to public transport links and parking.
Working face-to-face is ideal, but I’m aware that this may not always be possible. Having had extensive experience also working via Skype or phone, I also regard these ways of working as being extremely useful. Working by phone in my experience is useful for shorter-term work.
Please contact me to arrange a no-obligation phone call to discuss your needs. Please refer to my website lockharttherapy.com for further details. I look forward to hearing from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as an integrative psychotherapist at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in Little Venice, London, involving a four-year postgraduate diploma programme in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Dip Psych). I am currently undergoing specialist trauma training in EMDR.
I am registered/accredited with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am fully insured to practice and follow the professional ethics of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have explored my development for 20 years and have found my own path through a number of psychotherapy, coaching and bodywork practices. Prior to working as a psychotherapist I worked in the, academic, creative and media sectors. I hold two further MAs and an undergraduate degree.
