I am a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors and abide by their code of ethics.
I use a holistic integrative model that examines physical and emotional well-being, thinking patterns, and allows freedom to explore spirituality if desired.
Work often begins by exploring childhood to facilitate awareness of the impact of the past on current thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Once some insight is gained then we agree goals for change and work through a programme tailored to each individual to help you make the improvements in relationships, mood and behaviour. This may include challenging negative or critical thought patterns to come up with a more balanced view.
The relationship between therapist and client is very important and I believe in honouring each person as an individual, listening and accepting without judgement and keeping everything confidential.
