Andrea Frost MBACP
I am a skilled, experienced counsellor that offers counselling within various locations throughout the North East.
Counselling is an opportunity to work through what is currently happening in your life in a safe, therapeutic space. I am a professional that is able to offer a non-judgemental, empathic service, where I am able to support you with what you would like to focus upon and possibly work through within your life.
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner with experience of working with children, young people and adult clients of all backgrounds and support needs. Knowledge, understanding and experience of working within various client issues and problems including: depression, self harm, anxiety, identity, bereavement, self esteem, anger management and so much more.
I am an approachable, friendly individual, that is committed to Continued Professional Development, I feel that it is essential for a counsellor to focus upon extending their skills and knowledge of all aspects of counselling and counselling services to enable them to fully support their clients in the best way possible, as such i dedicate a lot of my focus to attending and participating within various training and professional development activities.
As a person-centred counsellor I believe that, when we are provided with the right conditions, we are able to develop and grow; that we all have resources that we can utilise to help with managing challenging circumstances. Providing a relationship where you feel considered and heard enables you to access your inner resources in the way that you would like to.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I fully adhere to their ethical framework for good practice.
Currently employed by a local authority to provide counselling to children and young people within a school environment. I also work within various voluntary organisations as well as privately.
