Profile

I am a qualified Human Givens Counsellor and Psychotherapist and work as a NLP practitioner. I am based in a little village just south of Diss, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and deliver sessions in Cambridge.
I specialise in anger management, anxiety, addiction, bereavement, trauma and depression and work with children, young people, adults, couples and deliver family counselling.

I can arrange to see people in mutually agreed locations, e.g. GP surgeries or at home and have got access to counselling rooms in the Eye Complementary Therapy Centre.
I have an enhanced CRB disclosure.

I have worked as a counsellor for 'Off Centre' youth counselling service for 10 years.
I have got vast experience of working with individuals and families as well as working in school settings with young people through my past career with Norfolk County Council as an Area Team Leader for the Youth Service and as a manager of an integrated early intervention team.

I use Guided Imagery and the 'Human Givens' Rewind Technique to detraumatise clients.

Guided Imagery and/ or the 'Rewind Technique' when needed, is effective in all areas of life such as:

  • relaxation
  • breathing in confidence and calm (7/11)
  • visualising success
  • first driving lesson
  • pass your driving test
  • exam success
  • public speaking
  • preparation for interviews
  • starting a new job
  • starting a new school
  • starting university or college
  • learning a new skill
  • success in sports
  • all fears and phobias
  • addiction

With the Rewind Technique there is no need to tell your traumatic experience over and over again or to talk about it in any detail. Through using Guided Imagery and the Rewind Technique, traumas often come to an end in 2 or 3 sessions. This will allow you to enjoy your life to the full without the heavy emotions attached from the past.http://www.hgi.org.uk/archive/rewind-technique.htm

Further Information

I am one of a network of counsellors offering FREE counselling to ex-soldiers throughout the UK with the charity POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)RESOLUTION. If you have signs and symptoms of PTSD please contact
http://www.ptsdresolution.org/

REGISTERED CHARITY No: 1133188 TREATMENT AVAILABLE FREE TO ALL EX-SERVICE PERSONNEL

PTSD Resolution treatment meets the special needs of veterans.   It is effective without the therapist or anyone else ever knowing about the events that caused the trauma.   This ensures confidentiality. Military trauma causes flashbacks, nightmares, anger and depression - often leading to violence, alcohol and substance abuse, job loss, family breakdown and even suicide. The PTSD Resolution outreach programme helps veterans and TA struggling to reintegrate into a normal work & family life because of military post traumatic stress suffered as a result of service in the armed forces.
