Ana Martinez-Acobi. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Counsellor. BPC Accred.
23 College Crescent
I am an experienced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in private practice in Swiss Cottage, North West London. I offer in-depth, open-ended psychological work to adults. This involves the exploration of both conscious and unconscious thoughts, feelings, emotions, motivations and patterns of behaviour which have become ingrained within the personality and which continue to have an impact on all aspects of the person's life and relationships.
Whether you are suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Problems at work, with Relationships, or any other type of difficulty, my work as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist involves working with whatever may come up in our conversations, with the aim of increasing awareness of oneself and making sense of one's experiences.
The work of psychotherapy is about opening up a life burdened by repetition and restriction into a dimension of exploration, finding out and thereby enabling new possibilities.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have undergone a rigorous training both in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychodynamic Counselling at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF). I also hold an Honours Degree in Psychology (Bsc) from Goldsmith University, London.
My work in the field extents over twenty years.
I am accredited by The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC), and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I work in both English and Spanish.
