Amanda Wood BA (Hons) Registered Member MBACP
I am a professionally qualified BACP registered counsellor in the Thames Ditton / Surbiton area practicing privately and in the NHS.
At times we may feel anxious, low or overwhelmed by confusing and unwanted feelings, and this may lead to difficulties in relationships and the way we wish to live our lives. Counselling can offer an opportunity to express and gain support with what you are experiencing in a safe and confidential way.
I offer a warm, attentive approach, supporting you with what it is that brings you to counselling with the intention of helping to ease what is difficult and enhance a sense of hope for the future.
My aim is to be flexible in terms of how we would work together and to find an arrangement that you feel comfortable with. For example we may discuss working short-term, up to twelve sessions, or longer term, and we may consider arranging sessions on a weekly, or more or less frequent, basis.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and hold a BA (Hons) Integrative-Relational Counselling.
I practice both privately and at an NHS GP surgery. I also host support groups in the voluntary sector.

- Low self-esteem
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Regular fees are £25 for an initial fifty minute consultation and £45 for each subsequent fifty minute counselling session.
I feel it is important that counselling is accessible to all and so a limited number of low cost sessions are also available.
