Amanda Strang - Psychotherapist BPC -British Psychoanalytic Council.
Thank you for reading this profile . I am an accredited, registered psychotherapist, with clinical experience of working with individuals in private practice, charities, and the NHS.
One in four people experience mental distress at some point in their lives, whilst what's troubling you are your individual concerns , you are not alone as this kind of distress can affect anyone at any time in their lives. You may be experiencing difficult feelings in relation to specific life events, such as bereavements or other losses, difficulties in your work or personal relationships, and other changes in your life such as children leaving home.
You may be seeking help for the first time, struggling to manage difficult feelings such as low self-esteem, sadness , lonliness ,depression, anxiety, anger, or frustration, and thoughts about self harm.
Some people feel trapped in painful and difficult situations in relationships at work, or in their personal lives, and sometimes in repeating patterns of behaviour which confusingly they know to be harmful to their well-being.
The therapy which I provide involves making a mutual commitment to sessions on a once-weekly basis, which take place on the same day each week, and at the same time, in a quiet and confidential setting.
