Profile
Hello, I understand considering counselling can be a daunting task especially when feeling overwhelmed or vulnerable so I will try to make this as easy as possible.
Counselling provides an opportunity to talk through any worries or concerns you have in a calm, confidential space. This helps us explore any underlying feelings and conflict without feeling any judgement or criticism so you can gain a better understanding of your needs and find constructive, positive ways to manage life.
As a qualified Person Centred Counsellor I work with addiction, anger, anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, loss, low self esteem, stress and a range of other issues. My experience includes private practice and working with individuals of all ages in an education and voluntary setting. I currently work voluntarily with young adults age 11-25 and with adults recovering from substance misuse.
I offer sessions on a one to one basis on a long and short term basis in private practices at The Constable County Medical Practice in East Bergholt, Colchester and Therapy Centre in Woodbridge Road, Ipswich. Both practices have free parking facilities available.
If you would prefer an initial chat I am more than happy to talk with you over the telephone.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have a BACP Accredited Diploma in Person Centred Counselling and BA (Hons) degree in counselling studies and mental health.
I am a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and practice within their ethical framework.
I am CRB checked and fully insured.
As part of my continuing professional development I regularly attend supervision and personal professional workshops.
