I offer private CBT based counselling from a safe office in a central Bangor location. Assessment sessions are available at short notice and I work hours that will hopefully suit you, offering both weekend and evening appointments.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is highly effective for the treatment of low mood and anxiety and I believe the skills CBT teaches can help anybody solve problems, achieve goals and improve their quality of life.
I aim to help people better understand their current situation, why they think and act as they do so we can collaboratively plan a better way in which to deal with situations in the future. I am very passionate about educating people on the symptoms of anxiety or mood disorders and simplifying things that you may currently be experiencing that are causing great upset.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifying from the Belfast Cognitive Therapy Centre in 2012 with a Post-graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I set up ASCBT later that year.
I have over 750 hours experience working in a range of settings with many different issues. I have worked for GP surgeries, the NHS, charity organisations and privately.
I am fully trained to assess and work with a wide range of difficulties including: Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, PTSD, Self-esteem issues, Anger issues, GAD.

Sessions are currently charged at £50 per hour but the initial assessment session is free of charge and will let you decide if therapy and the therapeutic environment is right for you.

Online Skype counselling is available if you would prefer a more time-efficient, location-independent method of therapy.
