Profile
I enjoy working with people previously as a professional manager and now as a person centred counsellor.
I qualified at the University of Strathclyde in 1999 and gained British Association of Counsellors and Psycotherapists (BACP) accreditation in 2003. I am now a Senior Accredited Counsellor with the BACP.( Snr. Accred BACP)
I have worked as a counsellor in the NHS, women's centres and in private practice.
I have a particular interest in working with clients who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and to help them move from survivor to thrivor.
I have also worked with many clients who struggle with anger management and its impact on their self exteem. I work to support them to be free of the anger affecting their lives, increase their self esteem and help them to be able to move on.
Many clients experience depression and anxiety and wish to find ways to cope so that their impact is reduced and they can move on to lead happy and fulfilled lives. Other clients may have experienced a recent bereavement or loss and need to find a way through through the feelings of meaningless to a place where they can function again.
Since 2005, I have also worked as a coach helping clients to manage transitions and find a way forward in their lives.
I provide a confidential, honest and supportive atmosphere with a deep respect for each individual and their inate qualities. I enable clients to develope in their lives and reach their full potential.
