Alison Kinrade MBACP (Reg)
I offer affordable, compassionate counselling in Shrewsbury. I am an experienced counsellor who is passionately interested in helping people understand themselves – why they do the things they do, say the things they say and think the things they think – and make sense of what's going on in their life.
My counselling approach is based on the belief that we possess everything we need to create the life we want. Sometimes though, it can be hard to work out what to do or how to do it! Perhaps things have happened that have limited our belief in ourselves, maybe we feel confused and can’t see the answer clearly enough or, we know what to do, but something holds us back. This is when it can help to talk to someone who will listen attentively, compassionately and without judgement whilst you figure it out and make the choices and decisions that are right for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethics and code of conduct.
WHAT HAPPENS IN OUR COUNSELLING SESSIONS
Our sessions will last for 50 minutes – the first session is free of charge and will usually be to find out about each other and the service I offer. It is important you feel understood, heard and above all, safe to talk about the things that matter to you.
The length and frequency of counselling is very individual. It can be short, mid or long term depending on what you’re going through and what you’re looking to accomplish. Please feel free to telephone me on 07872179588 or email me at email@example.com to ask more questions before you decide whether counselling is something that you would like to do.
