Alison Hayes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapist /accredited BABCP
Hello ! I`m Alison. As a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist I help people achieve their full potential in life, overcoming any circumstances life may have challenged you with and help you problem-solve ways round them. I work full-time for the NHS as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, treating adults referred through their GP`s for depression and anxiety related disorders. I also offer private cognitive behavioural therapy.
I am fully qualified and experienced to treat anger, low self-esteem, chronic fatigue, abuse, as well as depression and anxiety related disorders. I have a post-graduate diploma in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy accredited by the BABCP. I`m also a qualified Life Coach.
All the techniques used in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy have been clinically proven to work and through my guidance and practising them yourself, you will gradually learn to become your own therapist - making me redundant!
Key to my therapeutic practice is building a good strong relationship with you. You will be warmly welcomed, listened to empathically and without judgment, so I can sensitively understand your feelings and experiences, to make you feel safe, secure and confident.
I have always enjoyed helping and working with people. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I worked in the publishing industry in international rights, where building up trust and rapport with people, together with understanding and meeting their needs was key. I coached and mentored a successful international team.
My outside interests, include music and going to see live bands. I also like films, theatre and going for a mean curry!
If you have any questions please don`t hesitate to contact me either by phone or email. I`m a very good listener and really happy to answer any queries, all of which will be completely confidential.
