Alison Greenig (Meliora Therapy London) BSc, MBA, MBACP
Highgate Consulting Rooms
I am an experienced, fully qualified and BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy)-registered counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer compassionate and non-judgemental counselling, psychotherapy and coaching services to adolescents, adults and couples (same-sex and heterosexual) in a safe confidential environment.
My specialty is relationship counselling: relationship with the self, with family, with partner(s) and with the world at large. I firmly believe that the quality of these relationships helps shape our identity and our ability to flourish.
Beyond addressing current troubles, engaging professional counselling/therapy is about developing a better understanding of the self and of others. Such knowledge is empowering and may enable one to live more authentically, engage with the world more fully and thus achieve a firmer sense of purpose and happiness.
All couple relationships go through ups and downs. But sometimes when there are particularly testing circumstances or when problems seem intractable, couple counselling or therapy can be useful in working through issues and restore sense of safety and connection in the relationship.
My trainings include psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness practice and Positive Psychology. The range of issues I counsel my clients with are relationships (dating, divorce and separation), anxieties, addiction, anger, bereavement, depression, parenting, self-esteem, stress, trauma, etc. I also provide performance coaching to clients who wish to address specific work and career issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
I received my qualifications (PGDip) from Tavistock Relationships in London with additional training at The Tavistock Portman Clinic, the Association of Psychological Therapies and the University of Pennsylvania. I hold degrees of BSc and MBA and am a registered member of BACP.
