I have been a practicing counsellor in the UK and Jersey for more than fifteen years I also offer mentoring and clinical supervision.
I have recently relocated and am now practicing in beautiful Dorset with clinics based in Weymouth and Dorchester.
I work as a senior practitioner using an integrative approach offering counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Together we look at issues holistically, supporting you to explore issues that are affecting you whether physically, emotional, psychologically or spiritually.
I am fully insured & an accredited member of British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy BACP Register 146283 & BACP Membership 554716 and I work within their code of ethics.
Key to this is being a trustworthy professional, committed to continuing my on-going professional development and on-going clinical supervision. I hold a current Enhanced DBS check.
I enjoy the diversity of my career and the variety of experience that it brings including voluntary/charity sector work alongside my private practice.
My passion is to share my knowledge, continue to learn and use my experience working with people who wish to bring about positive change in their lives.
I see my role as coming alongside the individual, couple or family to witness your journey into breakthrough from whatever challenge has brought you to seek support at this particular time.
Before beginning training as a counsellor in 2000 I had successful careers in sales, marketing, management and training. I decided to re-train as I had always had an interest in relationships, how people think and how to bring about change.
I suggest an initial free 20 minute telephone assessment session to establish whether you feel that my way of working is the right one for you, to achieve your goal. Sessions can be arranged face to face, via webcam, telephone and email.

What is Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy that takes place in a safe, confidential setting between a professionally qualified counsellor and a client. Clients meet with the same counsellor and sessions usually take place on the same day and at the same time each week.
Counselling is sharing your difficulties and feelings, in order to help you to find understanding of what has been happening and to enable change to take place.
Counselling is not advisory – you are a unique individual and therefore the only person in your life who can know what choices and decisions might be right for you – is you!
Clients often talk about how sessions help them to explore thoughts and feelings in a way that they are unable to with somebody close to them. Increasingly in our fast paced and technological world; clients say they feel that there is nobody available to talk to face to face and this can lead to a sense of isolation.
