If you are feeling anxious, depressed, in a dilemma, lacking in confidence or maybe struggling with traumatic memories, loss, or difficult relationships, counselling can be of help. It provides you with a space to reflect, in confidence, with therapeutic feedback to assist you in clarifying your thoughts and emotions and help you to move forward with your life.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and have over 25 years experience of working in the NHS and other mental health care services. I offer individual counselling to give you a safe and confidential space to explore the issues that are causing difficulty. I work with Adults and young people over 16 and offer daytime & evening appointments.
My main therapeutic method is Humanistic & Person-Centred, but I am also trained in a number of other modalities, such as EMDR, Solution Focused Therapy, Brief Psychodynamic Therapy and make use of these tools in my practice. (EMDR is a method of helping people process trauma by using eye movements or other bilateral (dual-sided) brain stimulation).
I am an Associate Fellow of the BPS ( British Psychological Society) and am HCPC registered. I subscribe to the BPS Code of Ethics and have the appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
The practise Rooms@1900 in Calverley is pleasant and discreet.
