I have supported individual's in various settings: mental health (Mind), National Health Service (NHS), Cancer Services (Macmillan), Youth services (Link Counselling Service) and in Special Need Schools for Autism and ADHD, as well as Deaf children. A wealth of experience, which means I can offer specialist support, to cancer patients and their relatives, to carers for children with special needs, and to Deaf individual's, who I can communicate with using signed supported English.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Master of Arts, a Postgraduate Diploma and a Certificate of Higher Education in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling. I also have a BSc Honours in Psychology.
My clinical training was in various clinical placements specialising in different therapeutic modalities; Person Centred approach, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Family Systematic Therapy.
I have worked in various settings; mental health (Mind), National Health Service (NHS), Cancer Services (Macmillan) and in Special Need Schools working with Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Global Delay, Sight impairments, Autism, Dyslexia and deaf children.
In accordance with BACP's ethical framework, I undergo regular training to develop and enhance my practice.
