The reasons people seek therapy are often very varied. Some of the most common are depression, anxiety, grief, anger, stress, lack of confidence, wanting greater self-awareness, relationship and career struggles, or generally feeling dissatisfied with the way things are.
But you may not be sure what's wrong, just that you don’t feel great. Emotional distress shows itself in many different ways...in feeling tired, drained, confused, irritable, low in motivation and energy, sleep difficulties and feeling generally a bit out of control or stuck.
Therapy offers a unique opportunity to speak openly about what’s causing you difficulty, explore what you want in your life and learn tools to make changes.
I work with adults using the principles from Existential Philosophy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Coaching Psychology. This is a powerful combination to help overcome difficulties as well as understand the broader context of how they developed.

Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated with an Honours degree in psychology from Edinburgh University in 1997. And went on to get a diploma in Biodynamic Psychotherapy (2002) and later my MA and post MA Diploma in Counselling Psychology (2007). My approach is supportive, collaborative and active.
I started my career working at the Eating Disorder Service at the Priory Hospital, Roehampton. I have also worked at King’s College Hospital, the Royal Free Hospital, Camden and Islington NHS Trust and for the mental health charity MIND.
In addition to my clinical practice I have been a researcher in the field of Emotional Literacy with a special focus on helping schools and organisations to create emotionally intelligent environments.
As well as my own practice, I work with a busy team of independent psychologists in a Central London practice.
