I am a highly qualified and experienced child, young people, family and individual therapist and my aim is to establish an open relationship based on trust and honesty. Through therapy, I can help to explore confusing thoughts and emotions that may prevent feelings of well being for individuals or the family.
Young people who feel good about themselves are more able to take part in the learning process and enjoy their environment further. Improvement in self esteem reduces their worries and has a positive impact on relationships with parents, siblings, peers and teachers. Through working through the worries of the young person, they can grow in confidence and benefit from my dedication to strengthen the family unit. Parents can benefit from understanding their child better and often simple changes put in place by the whole family, by learning new strategies, can be positive and affirming to all.
Young people have a way in sending signals through their communication and behaviour about the possible road blocks in the family system, and I can help translate this confusion for all the understand.
Anxiety is on the increase today. I offer helpful interventions to improve life by helping them understand their anxiety and what situations increase the symtoms. Anxiety is often very treatable, especially in the young. Anxiety can feel very powerful and my aim is to offer effective ways to treat anxiety so that lives will no longer be run by anxiety thereby allowing room for joy and emotional flexibility.
