Alex Murrell Dip Couns MBACP
Psychosynthesis & Education Trust
92-94 Tooley Street
Hello, I’m Alex an integrative Counsellor working from SE1 in London and BR6 in Orpington, Kent. As well as private practice I have experience in counselling within the NHS and other primary care settings. I work with adults on a 1:1 basis, offering short term or longer, open-ended support.
Sometimes we find ourselves overwhelmed and feel unable to cope with life; there might seem to be no reason to it, or perhaps you have experienced something which has changed your life or your outlook on things. You may experience anxiety, depression, have difficulty in your relationships, or no longer be able to enjoy yourself as you once did. Perhaps something happened in your life a long time ago and it seemed like you could cope, or function well until now?
If you are having difficulties at this time, I am interested. Therapy offers a place to tell your story and be heard, without judgement or someone needing you to feel or be different. A relationship where you are accepted as you are; if this is a painful or difficult place, have someone sit there with you until you can work through it. Moving through is possible, you can feel different - it has been and is my experience.
Are you getting the most out of your life? How are your relationships? Exploring our life experiences and relationships can help with making sense of 'why we are how we are' and feel as we do. With awareness there is opportunity for transformation. My aim is to foster a positive and honest therapeutic relationship, an experience which you can take forward and improve your relationships on the outside.
If you are at a crossroads in life, explore your options in a safe and contained environment. Sometimes there's no 'win-win', so we must chose albeit with regret. I can offer support as you come to terms with change and adjustment. Sit with someone who can hear what might seem unspeakable, and who can consider what might seem unthinkable, with you. It is a confidential service.
