Whatever it is that brings you to consider counselling, I am interested in listening to you, hearing and understanding what is going on for you.
I will respect and value the person you are, acknowledging and appreciating your qualities and strengths as well as focussing on what troubles you.
You may be struggling with a major life event, a specific concern or a feeling of unease or dissatisfaction with your life. I will support you as you explore and begin to make sense of your experience and reflect on changes you might want to make.
Arranging a preliminary session offers an opportunity for us to get a sense of how well we might work together and discuss practical details of the counselling relationship, such as confidentiality. You can contact me by email, phone or text.
I have been counselling for 11 years in a variety of settings, working with people from all walks of life, with diverse concerns, issues and experiences.
My work includes bereavement and loss, anxiety, depression and trauma.
I am committed to continuing professional development through ongoing training and regular supervision.
I am a Registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework promoting good practise.
Before counselling I worked in the NHS in another role for 13 years.
As a mother of four, including three young adults and a teenager, I am familiar with both the challenges and rewards of family life.
I love walking, gardening and dancing.
