Agnes Rees Accredited MBACP
I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and I have practiced for 20 years and offer therapy in a supportive environment which encourages exploration and understanding of personal issues.
I have worked with a variety of issues such as; people who have suffered severe stress at work in the City or other work related issues, Relationship Counselling with Couples or Individuals, Clients with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Phobias, self-esteem, Trauma Wounds such as Post Traumatic Stress, Eating Disorders, those who have lived with Abuse, Bereavement, Anger Management, had an Abortion, Alcohol or substance dependency, Cultural issues, Identity problems, Loss, Obsessions, Self-harm, Sexuality, Spirituality, Women’s issues, and people looking for help with Personal Development in their lives.
We all face challenges in our lives which at times may feel overwhelming or too difficult to cope with. Therapy can provide the space and time that a person might need to try to resolve some of the problems in their lives, and help them to grow and develop in their personality.
Whether you would like support for a specific issue or seek personal development, counselling work is to give a person the time and space to look at whatever issues that a person might need to look at and work through. In this I listen carefully and build a relationship in a safe, calm, confidential atmosphere, which helps to develop self-awareness and insight.
Counselling focuses on a particular issue or problem, usually short-term work which is usually a fixed number of weeks. Psychotherapy has no specific focus and is open ended in duration which can have a deeper experience.
I operate in the Islington Borough near the Old Street & Moorgate tube stations, and I am part of a team of therapists.
I offer Short or Long Term Counselling, as well as Short or Long Term Supervision. I work face to face, Online Counselling, Telephone Counselling, and Skype Counselling.
I work within two Counselling Services presently, and I am Therapy Manager to both. I offer BACP Acredited Counselling to Individuals & Couples, and offer BACP Accredited Supervision to Individuals & Groups, and to external professional workers, as well as Student and Qualified Counsellors.
