Profile

2-Can provides a counselling service for adults and children.

It was established in 2005 and all our counsellors are fully qualified and experienced.

We believe when clients are provided with the opportunity to gain clarity, to express and explore their feelings in ways that words alone cannot always achieve, they are offered the opportunity for change and growth.

Our approach

  • Integrative, child/person centred counselling with play therapy.
  • Solution focused approach to family issues.

Children's Counselling Service
When something goes wrong in a child's or young person's life, whether or not they are aware of the cause, we believe that being able to talk to a counsellor in a safe and confidential environment enables them to gain some clarity, and begin to work things through.

2-Can also provides counselling within the school setting, working directly for the school, or counselling the child as set up by their parents/guardians out of comfortable counselling rooms in Milton Keynes or Northall.

2-Can initially offers a parent/guardian meeting to hear parent's concerns about their child, and together assess whether counselling is appropriate for the child at that present time. We provide support and feedback throughout the counselling process, with a view to strengthen and build positive family relationships.

Our objectives are

  • To inform children and young people in order to facilitate a better understanding and expression of their feelings.
  • To enable them to identify appropriate and helpful alternatives for expressing their emotions.
  • To facilitate them to gain insight and awareness of empathy to establish good family relationships.

We are a non reporting service provider. All 2-Can counselling services are confidential. We do not disclose verbal or written information without the client's permission or agreement. There are some legal exceptions to confidentiality if there are grounds of belief that safety issues are compromised.
