Profile
I have 25 years experience working as a professional in mental health, and over 10 years experience as a psychotherapist, I have extensive experience of working with adolescents, adults and families. I provide either short-term counselling or longer term psychotherapy depending on need.
Prior to obtaining an MA in integrative psychotherapy I worked for sixteen years as a social worker, in the field of substance misuse, and child and adolescent mental health. I have experience of working within the private sector, voluntary sector and within the NHS. I am currently employed within the NHS working with young people with eating disorders. I have a private practice in Kew, near Richmond, where there is street parking available, and good transport routes nearby.
How I Work
It may be that you feel that you have reached 'breaking point', or perhaps you feel 'stuck' in a difficult place and can't move on. Whatever your situation I provide a safe environment for you to explore and untangle thoughts and feelings, and confront your fears, enabling you to experience a greater sense of emotional wellbeing. Counselling and psychotherapy, can help you to move on with your life and relationships in a more fulfilling way.
My work may pay attention to childhood experiences and significant relationships from the past. However it may also be helpful to focus on your current concerns and relationships. I am trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that I apply different theoretical models to the way that I think and work, rather than using just one model.
