Profile

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, having worked for the last 20 years in the NHS with a developing private practise.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I qualified in 1985, and I have an M. Soc.Sc. (Applied Psychology). I have worked in the NHS since 1988, mostly in the area of Primary Care & Adult Mental Health, but I also have experience in working with addictive behaviour, problems associated with older adulthood, and learning difficulties.

I have a particular interest in working with people with Anger Management problems, using a Cognitive Behavioural Approach. I have run anger anagement clinics and some group treatment programmes in my past NHS employment.

Fees

Fees will vary depending on the type of work required; medco-legal assessments and reports are the most expensive, and late evening and weekend appointments are more expensive that others.

Further Information

To prevent a conflict of interest with my NHS employer, I cannot accept referrals of people living in the catchment area of North Tyneside, or people registered with GPs based in North Tyneside.

I do not work with children.

I usually see people privately in the early evenings; 5.30 onwards, and on Saturdays.
