Counsellor Profile

I provide counselling and psychotherapy support located in Walton on Thames Surrey providing private and confidential consultations to individuals couples and students.

I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy with experience in drug and alcohol abuse, stress and anxiety, sexual and relationship issues, bereavement and loss. I also work with clients with low self esteem, conflict and family related issues and anger management.

I provide both personal 1:1 and couples counselling to those in times of hardship, stress and anxiety as well as those seeking to achieve personal development and growth.

This may range from focused single issue concerns or providing support to people through a particularly difficult and stressful time such as separation and divorce, to more long term 'open ended' counselling which may work with more deeply held belief issues or psychological problems.

I have over 25 years of business management experience to draw on combined with over 12 years working with a number of voluntary organisations providing a variety of guidance and support. I combine my skills as a counsellor with an in depth appreciation of the pressures which exist in large scale multi national organisations together with an understanding of the personal development, flexibility and resultant challenges which the modern executive faces.

I also provide support services to GP practices, local Community Drug and Alcohol Teams and local Community Mental Health Teams.

My training and experience enables me to use a range of approaches which can be tuned to the requirements of the individual and which include,
Person Centred/ Humanistic
Phenomenological / Existential
Psychodynamic
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Neuro-linguistic Programming
