Counsellor Profile
I have a private psychotherapy practice in the Highgate/Parliament Hill area of London and also in Maida Vale, W2. I decided to become a psychotherapist after many years of self-exploration through a variety of approaches. As well as one-to-one psychotherapy these have included Primal Integration, sandplay, Holotropic Breathwork, T’ai Chi, and the practice of Buddhist Vipassana meditation. I enjoy working with different forms of creative expression and have a particular interest in writing.
Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)
I have completed a 4-year training at the Karuna Institute in Core Process Psychotherapy, an integrative, Buddhist-based approach. I have also done further training in Core Energetics. I have a Diploma and MA in Core Process Psychotherapy and have been registered with UKCP since 2002. I am also a British Focusing Teachers' Association recognised Focusing teacher. I have been practising as a psychotherapist since 1995 and have worked in private practice and in the NHS. I have 25 years' experience of working in the voluntary sector, with older people, people with disabilities and users of mental health services.
