Counsellor Profile
I came into counselling after years of working in many different kinds of organisations and businesses. I believe that every individual is unique and has something valuable to offer, and that sometimes we need to spend time with someone who reminds us that it's true.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their Code of Ethics.
Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)
Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde, 2006.
PhD in Information Systems from the University of Salford, 2001

I charge £40 per session.
I also offer a 30 minute introductory session for £12 for anyone who wants to meet me first - to decide if I am the counsellor they want to work with.
Extra Information
I work within the Person-Centred Approach to counsellor, based on the work of Carl Rogers.
I aim to create an open and accepting environment in the counselling sessions, where I work with my client on any issues they choose to bring. The client sets their own agenda for the work and decides when to finish.
