Julie Taylor, Dip Couns, MBACP Registered
I am an experienced counsellor and my aim is to help you overcome any issues that may be preventing you from leading a more fulfilling, happy life, and help you to handle life's challenges with confidence. Sometimes it's just good to have someone to talk to who isn't involved in your life, and this can help you to see things more clearly.
I am a mature lady with a wealth of life experience, and I offer empathic, non-judgmental and confidential counselling in a dedicated room in my home. I work in a mainly person-centred way, and I also use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and psychodynamioc therapy, and brief, solution focused, and other skills which I adapt to suit you personally. I have training in mindfulness, bereavement and loss, child and adult trauma, relationships and family issues, and transactional analysis. In the first session we will discuss the best way of working for you. I also offer supervison for counsellors.
As well as private practice, I have worked as a primary care counsellor GP surgeries in the NHS.
I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend training to improve and increase my skills. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, have Professional Indemnity Insurance and Enhanced Clinical Records Bureau clearance.
My practice is based on the outskirts of Redditch (easy access from Bromsgrove) and I also see clients in Bromsgrove. South Birmingham, Alvechurch, Droitwich, Alcester, Studley and Evesham are also nearby. There is easy access from the M42 (junctions 1 and 2) and M5 (junctions 4 and 5). A visiting service is available.
