Counsellor Profile

I am an experienced counsellor and my aim is to help you overcome any issues that may be preventing you from leading a more fulfilling, happy life, and help you to handle life's challenges with confidence. Sometimes it's just good to have someone to talk to who isn't involved in your life, and this can help to see things more clearly.

I am a mature lady with a wealth of life experience, and I offer empathic, non-judgmental and confidential counselling in a dedicated room in my home. I work in a mainly person-centred way, and I also use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and psychodynamioc therapy, and brief, solution focused and other skills which I adapt to suit you personally. In the first session we will discuss the best way of working for you. I also offer supervison for counsellors.

As well as private practice, I work as a primary care counsellor in the NHS. I am an experienced bereavement counsellor. I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend training to improve and increase my skills. I am a Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, have Professional Indemnity Insurance and Enhanced Clinical Records Bureau clearance.

My practice is based near Bromsgrove, and close to Redditch. South Birmingham (along the A38), Alvechurch, Droitwich and Halesowen are also nearby. There is easy access from the M42 (junctions 1 and 2) and M5 (junctions 4 and 5). A visiting service is available.

If you would like to talk to me about counselling or supervision, please do not hesitate to phone or email me, without any obligation. If you prefer you can text me - leave your number and I will ring you as soon as I can. Appointments usually within one week.
