About me

I am an experienced counsellor and my aim is to help you overcome any issues that may be preventing you from leading a more fulfilling, happy life, and help you to handle life's challenges with confidence. Sometimes it's just good to have someone to talk to who isn't involved in your life, and this can help you to see things more clearly, and very often from a different perspective.

I am a mature lady with a wealth of life experience, and I offer empathic, non-judgmental and confidential counselling in a dedicated room in my home. I work in a mainly person-centred way, and I also use cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and psychodynamioc therapy, and brief, solution focused, and other skills which I adapt to suit you personally. I have training in mindfulness, bereavement and loss, child and adult trauma, relationships and family issues, and transactional analysis. In the first session we will discuss the best way of working for you. I also offer supervison for counsellors.

As well as private practice, I have worked as a primary care counsellor in several GP surgeries in the NHS.

I am committed to continuing professional development and regularly access training to improve and increase my skills. I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and have Professional Indemnity Insurance.

My practice is based at my home in Pembroke. My usual fee for 50 minutes session is £40. Visiting and telephone services available on request.

If you would like to talk to me about counselling or supervision, please phone or email me, without any obligation. If you prefer you can text me - leave your number and I will ring you as soon as I can. Appointments usually within one week.
