Profile

My hope as your counsellor is to offer you a space where you feel able to explore who you are and how you are responding to your experience of life and so enable you to be more able to make the changes you wish for yourself. Some of the core values I work with in my counselling approach are that each of us have the resources within us to find our way through to a life that we can experience as more fruitful, of worth and to a place of positive well-being, that by being a part of the professional counselling relationship and process can enpower you to unblock your path to those resources.

I see clients for both long term and short term work. Please let me know if mobility or transport to counselling is an issue for you and we can explore ways of overcoming this.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

As well as individual counselling I also offer couple/relationship counselling.

I can also offer sessions to work with the parent/child relationship to support and facilitate open communication.

I offer a service to estranged parents to focus on resolving issues around continued parental responsibilites and boundaries.

I offer a Pet Bereavement Counselling Service.

If preferred some issues can be dealt within mediation.

Therapies Offered

Fees

My standard fee is £40 per session for both Individual and Relationship counselling but I am always willing to discuss and offer reduced fees to ensure that the service is not denied due to someone being unable to meet the fees, especially so in the current economic climate.

I also offer a free initial 30 minute session for anyone who has not had counselling before and/or is unsure if counselling is for them.

I would encourage Counsellors seeking Supervision to contact me and discuss possible sessions together and fees could also be part of that discussion.  I offer very reduced rates for Students.

Further Information

I have a clear CRB (standard) check certificate.

I would actively encourage contact from the management of care and residental homes to discuss the possibility of offering a counselling service for both staff and/or residents.
If travel to counselling is problematic to you, for whatever reason, please let me know and we can discuss possible solutions.
