SLIDING SCALE OF FEES FROM JANUARY 2017
I am committed to providing the best, most professional Counselling support I can for anyone who wants to make the Counselling journey with me. I value parity of access to Counselling and feel unhappy when someone chooses to not do this journey for financial reasons. I want to operate a fee system which takes a range of financial situations into account and makes Counselling accessible to all, whatever the situation.
From January 2017 I am operating a sliding scale of fees;
£25ph; for people who are unwaged and living entirely on income support, educational grants or pension.
£30ph; for people who are waged but mainly living on income support
£35ph; for people who are earning a wage but their living situation often makes it difficult to make ends meet
£40ph; for people who are employed full time and earning a full living wage
Relationship Counselling is an extra £10ph. We can discuss your shared financial situation.
After an initial period of weekly Counselling, it may be possible to offer an option to attend fortnightly to ease financial outlay. The cost of fortnightly sessions would be negotiated.
My counselling style draws from all of my qualifications and interests - it is very person-centred. I encourage clients to shape and direct sessions themselves in order to create a safe and creative space.
When you come for Counselling we are making together a special space where you can safely explore your concerns and difficulties. This space is held by building a strong and trusting relationship. This is why connection and safety are important factors when choosing a Counsellor. The choice is very important and, for this reason, I like to see a prospective client twice before we each sign a formal, written Counselling contract. Once we are sure we can work together, then the Counselling can begin.
I also work as a Supervisor, either individually or in teams at a special hourly rate.
Sessions are 1 hour, ideally on a regular, weekly basis and I follow the BACP Code of Ethics.
I have regular Supervision with a UKCP accredited Psychoanalyst and regular Mindfulness Supervision
