I am 59 years old and live and work in Bristol, UK. I am a qualified school teacher, and have spent most of my life working in teaching and training roles of various kinds. I am a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order (ex-Western Buddihst Order) and teach Buddhist meditation classes and retreats in and around Bristol.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I qualified in 1993 as a Counsellor with a Certificate and Diploma in Counselling from the Central School of Counselling and Therapy and have worked regularly as a counsellor since then.

For the past 2 years, I have studied CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and have a CBT Practitioner Certificate from the University of the West of England.

I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I was accredited in 1994 as Cruse Bereavement Counsellor.

I am an accredited Co-teacher in Co-Counselling.

The past 5 years I have been studying Marshall Rosenberg's Non-Violent Communication teachings. I have an NVC Foundation certificate and am currently training to become an accredited NVC trainer.

I have been an Ordained member of the Triratna Buddhist Order for 9 years, and enjoy exploring the spiritual dimensions of therapy and counselling.

    £35 per hour.

    Further Information

    My counselling style draws from all of my qualifications and interests - it is very client-centred. I encourage clients to shape and direct sessions themselves in order to create a safe and creative space.

    I also work as a Supervisor, either individually or in teams at a special hourly rate.

    Sessions are 1 hour, ideally on a regular, weekly basis and counsel by a strict BACP Code of Ethics.

    I have regular Supervision with a BACP accredited Psychoanalyst.
