KIDZONE-CONSULTANCY U.K. are 'Independent Practitioners' offering Counselling Psychotherapy, Support, and Therapeutic Intervention to Children & Young People ages 3-18. The young people may have experienced some form of trauma for which there are many issues, in relation to Sexual; Physical; Emotional/Mental Abuse; Bereavement; Coping after a Suicide; Neglect; and Abduction to name a few.
This is a unique peripatetic service going into many areas, throughout South Wales, soon to pan across all Wales.
The trauma of Rape and Sexual Abuse or other heinous crimes inflicted on young people may be recent, or something that happened a long time ago.
The 'ethos' behind KIDZONE-CONSULTANCY, is to take the service to children and young people out into the community near where they live. This currently covers many areas throughout South Wales, effectively cutting down on 'time-out' from school for appointments etc, reducing fear and stress levels, by not having to travel far to unfamiliar places.

Training, Qualifications & Experience (more info)

All therapists at KIDZONE-CONSULTANCY are BACP registered. The Senior Therapist trained and qualified as a 'Primary Health Care Counsellor' over 10 years ago, qualified in 'Art Therapy In Person Centred Counselling', 'Clinical Hypnotherapy' as well as 'Cert.Ed. Education & Training'.
Over the years, many Counselling hours have been spent working with Children & Young People, post abuse and trauma. Many years of experience gained from working full-time for a National Registered Charity, counselling children traumatised by Rape or Sexual Abuse.
KIDZONE-CONSULTANCY U.K. support children and young people who may have a 'court-case' pending. For some young people the court case is over, and Counselling or Therapeutic Intervention is a way to equip and assist these young people with skills, assisting them to overcome psychological pain, associated with trauma.
Counselling/Therapeutic Intervention experience has been gained working closely with referrals from Police; Health; Education; Social Services as well as Voluntary Organisations, and not forgetting the many self-referrals.
