I am a mature counsellor with a broad experience of life and have covered a wide range of issues both in training and in my experience as a counsellor. My main therapeutic models are person centred, TA, gestalt and EMDR. I work face to face with individuals, couples, supervisees and groups. I enjoy working with people and feel that I am warm and approachable.
I started my counselling career in 1991 doing telephone counselling  on both a general and sexual abuse telephone helpline. Since then I have worked in a drug and alcohol clinic, a home for homeless girls and Bradford University. I have worked in a well women centre in both a paid and voluntary capacity for the last 8 years and have worked for an organisation supporting parents whose children have been sexually abused. In my private practice, as well as counselling private clients, I do work for Mesmac, the NHS as well as for various Employment Assistance Programmes and Insurance Companies.

Further Information

I am situated just off Halifax Road approximately halfway between Halifax and Bradford. I am also accessible from Cleckheaton and Huddersfield and the motorway system. There are frequent buses to Bradford, Halifax and Leeds. You may park on my drive and there is on street parking.
