Profile
I am a counsellor/psychotherapist working with individuals and couples from my home near OAKHAM and from the Church Street Practice in MELTON MOWBRAY.
I have 17 years experience as a qualified, Registered Independent Practitioner. I have extensive experience working for the NHS, currently heading up a therapy service in one of the largest GP Medical Practices in the UK.
I have gained considerable experience in working with a wide range of issues including: depression, anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, stress and relationship issues. I am an EMDR Practitioner. EMDR is the therapy of choice recommended by NICE (National Institute for Clinical Exellence) for trauma and disturbing memories.
I work using an integrative approach which means I have training and experience in different ways of working which enables me to tailor the way I work to the needs of the individual.
I believe that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is central to the work.
