Profile

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Practice Manager of JEM Counselling. I have experience in both the N.H.S and the private sector.

Within my practice I can provide an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with a qualified practitioner who will be sensitive to your needs. During your first session , we will discuss what it is that you need help with. An honest appraisal is given on how we can help you. During this time we will offer you a safe environment where we will agree your individual counselling needs. Within the practice we offer both open- ended counselling and short term counselling for both adults, adolescents and families.

Counsellors within the practice see a wide range of clients and are able to talk sensitively to ensure that we can assertain the areas that you may wish to explore within counselling. Within the practice specialities are in the following areas:- Anxiety and Depression, Adoption, Premature Babies, Infertility, Bereavement, Couple Counselling, Workplace Difficulties, Bullying, Low Self-Esteem and Family Therapy.

The practice is based in Heybridge in Maldon and there are a few sessions available in St lawrence

As the practice manager I am a fully qualified Supervisor with 9 years experience supervising nurses. I undertook further training and gained my Diploma in Individual and Group Supervision in 2010. I am able to offer Supervison for all theoretical backgrounds. My partner Annette Dean is undertaking further training in supervision and will be looking for supervisees whilst she is undertaking this training in January.
