Counsellor ProfileCounsellor/ Psychotherapist specialising in treating those who have been involved in motor vehicles accidents (MVA's) and have gone on to develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) and other stress-related conditions. My preferred treatment is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which has proven to be the most effective way of dealing with stress related conditions e.g. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

I trained at the Centre for Stress Managment, then based at the Hayes Grove Priory Hospital, London and obtained my Diploma in Stress Management (CBT based) in late 2000.
I have extensive experience of treating people who suffer with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other stress-related conditions
I am a published author on the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and have advised researchers on various stress-related issues for BBC2 - Ch4 television and national newspapers and several professional journals and magazines in the UK, US, Australia and India.

FeesI live and work in the North West of England and cover all of Lancashire, Gtr Manchester,Merseyside, South Cumbria, West Yorkshire and North Cheshire.

Extra InformationThe nature of PTSD is that most people require and prefer visits to their own homes. My fees include travel to and from their homes.
I am BUPA registered and have taken on work for most of the large insurers.
