Counsellor Profile

I have a counselling practice in Peterborough city centre which offers clients a comfortable and confidential environment for one to one counselling.
I really feel the counselling relationship is unique and I look upon therapy as a personal 'journey' and one that I feel privileged to share with with my clients.

My core training is psychodynamic ,but I use a range of interventions depending on the client and what issues they bring.I work with a wide range of issues.

I offer an initial consultation ( see fees below ). My professional qualifications are:
Certificate of Higher Education in
Psychodynamic Counselling ( Cambridge University 2001 )
Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling ( Leicester University 2005 )
I have also trained in:
Solution Focused Work (2005)
'Handling Childrens Behaviour' ( Open College Network 2005 )
I am a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists
( BACP)and practice within their ethical framework.

I offer short term , focused therapy and long term therapy for a range of issues with individual clients.
I have fsix years experience of working with families in the community , providing parenting support both to pre-school families and parents of teenagers.

I also offer support and advice to parents struggling with the challenges of teenagers. Typical areas of support would be around behavioural issues ,conflict management ,listening skills, boundary setting and negotiation .I offer an initial consultation with parents and subsequent sessions can be agreed up to a maximum of 8 weeks.
