Counsellor Profile
I have worked as a nurse, a genetic counsellor and counsellor in the NHS, in higher education and the private sector over the last twenty years giving me a rich variety of experience in many aspects of life: Real, personal, human experiences of how people not only cope, but how they can grow through their experiences- myself included.
There's no set number of sessions, it really depends on the person, their life, their progress, their choice. Occassionally it maybe a one off session and other times can last for several months. More usually I work with people for between 6 and 18 sessions.
I work with people with a wide variety of problems and I'm happy to consider sessions for any issues that trouble someone. I work within the BACP ethical framework and am a current BACP member.
